We are going to Africa through June/July and want to know a great hike. We were thinking Kili, but it seems like it is really expensive and pretty crowded. Anyone got any ideas on places that are equally amazing but maybe cheaper and less touristy? Mt. Kenya, Sinai, etc...? We are by no means in great shape, but can hold our own.

Any advice is appreciated, Thanks, Stouds

If you want a walking safari you can go to Lake Naivasha. I think the park's name is Hippo Park. You can walk amongst giraffes, antelope, etc.

Also try Here.

Lastly, the western game parks (Mahale and Gombe) require a lot of trekking due to their mountainous and dense bush nature.

Here is a good site for you on the parks in Africa:

Good luck and have fun.
