Does anyone know anything about USA jet airways flights from Nairobi to Entebbe? Their price is $100 cheaper than Kenya Airways. I can't seem to find any info on them while visiting the Jomo International Airport site. Can you book a flight directly from the airport? Thanks.

I have not heard about USA Jet Airlines operating flights in Africa. Are you sure you didn't mean Air Uganda, who started operations last year? They do fly Nairobi-Entebbe, and their fares are $100 less than Kenya Airways. However, if you have an international ticket on either KLM or Kenya Airways, you can add the Nairobi-Entebbe sector for a lot less than a stand-alone ticket, bringing the price within the same range. The other benefit of adding the regional flight to the international ticket, is that then the international luggage restrictions apply even on the regional flight (in case that matters).

Thanks for the advice. When I go to "Ultimate Fares" website and type in Nairobi to Entebbe it comes up with USA jet airways but like I mentioned I am unable to find any info about them. I also cannot find a website for Air Uganda although there are articles written about their recent start up. Anyone else have info on these two companies? Thanks.

Aha... each airline has a two letter or letter/number code, and there seems to be a conflict. Both USA Jet Airlines and Air Uganda have the same code: U7, and so there must be a glitch in the website's programming. I am certain what you found were Air Uganda flights, but unless you can CALL Ultimate Fares, I would not make an internet purchase. It will likely be issued on the wrong carrier, and Air Uganda would not accept it.

The air uganda flight from nairobi to entebbe is a smoking flight. Beware if you are a non-smoker.
