Hi All,
Does anybody have a hostel to recommend in Dar? I fly in at 11 pm and would like to have something planned at least for one night that is reliable. Ideas much appreciated! Happy travels! kelli DC for Now |

The Lion Hotel in Sinza, maybe 15 minutes from the airport, is a great place. It's clean, local and outside of the city center. It's not frequented by standard backpackers but more by Tanzanians. I think it's about $20 and generally there is live music every night. It has AC too.
