First of all, congrats on finding a Unimog! The first idea that comes to mind is getting in touch with a short handler. We have African companies that pick up scrap vehicles in Germany and take them across the Med all the time. I'll bet that they would deliver one back the other way for a reasonable price, but I don't know what kind of red tape you'd run into. Where and when are you wanting to ship it? I may be able to put you in contact with a company in South Africa.

Hi CarolinaCouple,

i would just like you to know that you have just made my day!
I would like to ship from Durban SA to anywhere in the Mediterranean or if that doesn't work then to Europe anywhere.

I would also like to do it as securely as possible as i have just refitted her and it cost me around 25 000 Euro's so i dont want things to be broken into.

thanks for your help so far
regards
Quinton

No problem. I'm not home right now--out of the continent, so I just emailed a couple of friends to get info from them for you. That should speed up the process a little. If you've not heard back from me in a week, ask me again!
