I'm looking to travel through Zimbabwe next spring, while on my way to Tanzania. However, I've had mixed reviews regarding train travel in this region. Any input?

at the moment i have my doubts that train travel even exists in Zimbabwe and if it did, i would advise against using the train! The country is still going through hard times so who knows what could happen! What you did say you were looking at travelling in the spring and things could change by then! Also, i've read recently that the tourism industry in Zim is on the up... so fingers crossed!

Where does your trip start that you are making your way up to Tanzania?

Ja dude the trains still run. I got the train from Bulawayo up to Vic Falls a couple of monthes ago no worries were had I know the other routes are still running as well, you may be better off with buses or trying to hitch with truckers going up to Zambia if you're Tanzania bound.

Oh and i'm from Zim so enjoy =D
