We will be in Morocco for 10 days from April 3- April 12. We are flying into Marrakesh and would like to hang out there for a few days, and then do a 2-3 day trek in the Atlas area. For example Imlil to Setti Fatma. I am wondering if the weather will still be too cold for this, i.e. too much snow on the ground. Does anyone have a recommendation of a trek that will be good for this time of year that is reasonably close to Marrakesh? We don't want to spend too much time on buses. Also, what are some other highlights not to miss for our remaining days in Central Morocco?

Well, no one ever responded to tell me if the weather was o.k. to trek in the high atlas. Turns out the weather was fine for the lower treks. We opted to hike 3 days from Imlil to Setti Fatma (April 5-8) and went without a guide. There were a few patches of snow, but nothing that you couldn't walk around. We stayed in gites and borrowed cooking equipment to make our dinners. (They will cook for you too, if you want). It was one of the most beautiful treks I have done. The only annoying thing is locals will harrass you the entire time to carry your things, guide you, etc. if you don't hire a guide. But hey, it's typical Morocco and I had a strict budget.
