Hi All,

I am currently planning a Nairobi to dar es salaam or Vic falls trip with a overland company.

I previously booked a cape town to vic falls trip locally in SA with Umkulu and found it much cheaper then UK.

has anyone found difficulties in booking these trips in nairobi and found them much cheaper then booking from the UK??

thank you
Grant

grant.. i used siyabona (http://www.siyabona.com/) as my booking agent to do an overland trip. i booked it while i was in the USA. this was a fine choice in my opinion. i did a trip from nairobi to vic falls with africa travel co. the trip was very enjoyable.

i think the trip rates are fairly competitive-- if you book while outside of africa.

i heard that you can get cheaper deals by waiting until you arrive in africa though. some people veer away from this though because they are on a tight schedule, specific budget, etc.

my best advice-- if you have the time-- would be to just wait to book something, show up in nairobi and sort it once you arrive.

on the other hand, if you are going in high tourist season, or on a tight schedule or just generally worried about getting on a specific trip, then go ahead and book in advance.
