you can check here: http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/destinationTanzania.aspx

you should get these done ASAP. most shots take a while to kick in. and as for 'should' you? why not? better safe than sorry. also, for yellow fever, i think some places require that you have proof of vaccination at the border.

Here is the CDC link for your information:

CDC Tanzania health information

I also got Hep A & B because of the amount of the travel I do.

I did also get the Rabies Vaccine, but do not think that it is worth the money, unless you are more than 24 hours from medical care.

You must have Yellow Fever and you need it stamped into you vacc card cos they might check it on your arrival! Hep A & B are recommended but not essential, altho i would say rather safe than sorry!

Yellow fever is essential. Though they didnt check my yellow book when I flew into Nairobi Kenya, you should have it. There was also a Polio problem last year in east Africa so I was advised to get a polio shot as well as the Hep A. With living very rural I was on Malaria pills (doxycycline seems to be the cheapest, something like 20 pills for 4 dollars here in Chicago). But be warned: If not sleeping with a mosquito net in some areas, prepare to be good food for the mosquitos-I stayed with a friend in Nairobi for a few weeks, and the first night I woke up with mosquito bites all over me. So some spray is always good.
