Still looking for Carmen Sandiego |
I know the real travel reality show around here is Amazing Race but I do enjoy Survivor as a guilty pleasure. I'm really excited to see that they will be in Gabon for their 17th season. I've always said it would be interesting to have it in the African Congo but due to instability that would be impossible so this is the next closest thing. I think Gabon is still technically the Congo basin.
Either way, I hope they have at least one of the tribal camps on the beach and one in the jungle itself. I'm sure it will be too dangerous to have them anywhere near the elephants that make their way to the ocean on the beach but who knows. Will anyone else be watching this out of curiosity? Gabon has supposedly been a hidden gem for awhile so I guess the rest of the world is about to find out. ________________________________ When the son of the diposed King of Nigeria emails you DIRECTLY asking for help, you help. I am super excited to see the show set in Gabon. I've been really interested in the area since National Geographic ran a series on Michael Faye's Megatransect through the country several years ago, and how he worked with the government there to set up a parks system to preserve wilderness in a country whose primary economy comes from timber. It's one of the spots I'd most love to visit!

I have to admit that I will be watching...
And whatever episode I'll miss on TV, I'll just watch on the net... I'm sort of addicted... |

Ill absolutely be watching (with no shame haha), I cant wait! Thatd be a great idea to have one tribe on the beach and another inland, means we'd get to see more of the area.
Apparently Gabon is heaps expensive to travel in but this may tempt me. |
