Has anyone been to Zimbabwe recently? I have just read that they have allowed the currenct to float so the black market is no more which should be good. How does one handle money there? Do you just change a little bit each day as it will be worthless the next day?

If you aren't tired of me yet, read my RTW trip blog at Barry Backpacks Around the World.

I was in the Vic Falls area about 6 months ago. They wanted USD. If you get regular currency it has an expiration date (yep the money seems to expire). I don't know if they really go by it, but if you deal with the local currency, look at the bill. The situation changes, just know what the conversion rates are. I actually had a harder time to find some local currency to buy for my collection.
