I land in Lima, but have decided id rather draw out my cycle tour in one direction by starting in Quito.

Not sure about Ormeño in particular. Anyway, I saw bikes being taken into the luggage compartment. Ofcourse, disessembled. To be sure they'd take your bike, you'd have to give the bus company a notice earlier.
