We have been grounded from serious travel this past year since we had our baby. We really want to take a great vacation with her this winter. We are wanting to head to Argentina this November or December, when she will be almost 2. Has anyone traveled to Argentina with a small child? We are thinking of renting a cabin in Villa La Angostura for a week... the rest is undecided. I know traveling with a little one will limit our activities, but it's important to us to start her travels early. Any suggestions on areas that are somewhat kid friendly?

To a child that young, and until early teens, it really doesn't matter where you travel. It could be your grandma's house in the country, where there are other kids in the neighbourhood, or a farm where there are some domestic animals. Try to think what children like to do and what's appropriate for the age, rather than what's fun for you.
That is if you consider what's important for your children

Whoa, that's inappropriately harsh!

I just did a trip with some friends and their children, ages 4, 2, and 1.5. (they are from Sweden and Switzerland, and we were in Spain). While the strollers were a pain, I don't think they were that limited. They made sure to do some things they probably wouldn't have without kids (like take one of the horse drawn carriages), and bought a few more souvenirs. The kids were just happy to be with their parents. And, they found some cool playgrounds and visited those.

If I ever have kids, I would likely take them on international trips young. It is good for them, and I get to sate my travel thirst.

In Argentina, if you are in BsAs, take a day trip/tour to the Pampas. I did that, and the kids that were on my tour van really enjoyed themselves.
