Hiya,

I'm travelling from Buenos Aires to Lima this summer and due to set off from BA on august 4th.

Am flying into Rio de Janerio on 26th July and am spending 2 nights there... After that its a blank canvas til 4th Aug.

Here is your challenge:
How do I get from Rio to BA?
Where should I call in on on the way down?
Other than Igazu falls (almost certain I wanna go here) where else should I stop off over the 6 days?

Muchos Gracias for your help! Smile

By the time you have taken the bus I would ONLY do Rio (maybe plus an island but enough to do in/near Rio without - perhaps just pop to Paraty for a day/night?)/Iguzau/BA as it would end up something like 3-4/2/3-4 days...

There are great bus companies serving Iguazu to BA which is a long way but they are cheap and comfortable (get the Cama or Super Cama) with your seats folding down into beds and on-board meal service. Travel overnight and you save a nights accommodation too. Great!!

PS You can't be 'almost certain' with Iguazu, it's an absolute must!

Totally agree with this! You simply can't be staying that long in BsAs and NOT see the falls. Get yourself there, no matter what Smile

Go from Rio to Uruguay, Montevideo and Colonia. From Colonia get a ferryBuquebus to Buenos Aires.
