I'll be traveling in Chile in January. Any tips would be appreciated, but I have one question in particular. I'm considering taking the ferry from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales. What is it like? Is it worth it? I've heard the ferry stops in Puerto Eden. How is it there? I'm thinking about getting off there and tramping around in the bush until the next ferry comes.

Are there any good resources for getting info/maps for remote areas of chile?
