I´m flying down to sau paulo on the 30th of jan with a vague plan to head to Rio or nearby within a couple days of that. Leave a message on here if you´re going to be around sau paulo on the 30th/31st/1st, a travel partner upto Rio would be good.

Hi Nili,
yes I should be in Rio at the start of feb as I´m not planning to spend more than a couple days in Sao Paulo before heading to Rio. Let me know where you´ll be staying (or once you´ve got there and found somewhere), I´m sure we can meet up at some point.
Cheers,
Ed

hi,
my wife and i will be in Imbassi, Bahia for about a month starting on the 10th of Feb. We will be in and out of Salvador on day trips, especially around Carnival, at the end of Feb. Imbassi is one of the tiny beach towns north of Salvador so if you get tired of the city we could help you find a cheap place to stay on the beach- and then drink capirinhas nonstop. my wife is taking some portugese lessons there.

peace,
bryan

Well I thought I´d only stay in São Paulo for a night or two, but having such a good time that i have to stay for the weekend now when the nightlife really kicks off.

I guess Rio is going to have to wait until next week, though might take a break in Ilha Grande first. Have fun in Rio, I think it´s pretty much guaranteed! It also sounds like you Canadians have got it pretty sorted up there in Salvador area. Might make it that far north myself in a few weeks for carnaval. Have fun one and all, Brazil rocks!
