Hi

I am trying to get a flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate. I looked on that web site, Aerolineas Argentinas and found tickets for Feb 9. They were about 300 us dollars. Is this about the price I would pay if I waited until I was in Argentina to buy tickets? The thing is I will be arriving in BA Feb 1,and want to fly out to El Calafate by Feb. 9 and am worried that will not be enough time to get a ticket or that they will be sold out. Any info would be great.

That sounds pretty accurate to me (the dollar amount). From what I have read, and the distance you will be covering, this seems accurate. (I paid 100$/one way from Mendoza, which is a shorter distance, I believe)

I am not sure how much cheaper you would get it in BsAs. Locals get cheaper pricing, but the tourists pay a little more.

The answer is yes, allways is cheaper buying into the country but to small travel angency... most time they find me even last time tickets, but yes you have to "play all the cards" with luck...
The date you are talking is into the high turist season ...
and purchaising a ticlet by internet to main company is blog up... just I´m talking about my experience... good luck!!!

LADE flies out of calafater on only somedays of the week. if you can plan your travel to be near those days, you can get out calafate with a cheap airfare.
