Hi:

I´m currently in Salta, Argentina planning on a trip to Sucre, Bolivia to study Spanish.

My initial route (forgive spelling errors): (1) bus to La Quiaca, walk across border, and train to Uyuni(2) tour area, then (3) bus to Sucre.

Q1: Does anyone have information on trains from the Bolivia side to Uyuni...and then taking the bus to Sucre.

Q2: Alternate Route: Someone suggested going to Tupisa instead of Uyuni and taking a four-day, jeep tour. Has anyone taken this tour and if I did this as an alternative to taking the train to Uyuni, how could I get to Sucre after finishing the tour?

Q3: Final question. Can anyone recommend a hostel in Sucre? Spanish school or tutor in Sucre?

Coming from Argentina, Tupiza might be a good option, as a start of Salar de Uyuni tour.
There is no train to Sucre, that I'd know of. You can go by train from Uyuni to Oruro. And then by bus.
By the way - it'd be a shame if you missed Postosí before you come to Sucre.
For accommodation I can recommend hostel Charcas, calle Ravelo, in Sucre. It's good location, one block from the main square.
As for the language schools - there are quite a few of those. You might like to arrive first, talk to a few teachers, and pick one.
A good place to meet other travellers and students is Café Joyride, Calle Ortiz (just off the main square).
