Any thoughts on the new BootsnAll homepage? Love it? Hate it? Too confusing? Much easier? Tell us what you think.

Love it.

The best travel content on the planet is nice, but having an attractive front door means that more folks will visit us and stick around for awhile.

Yes, it is definitely more visually appealing. Makes it a bit easier to find exactly what you're looking for, too. Nice job.

oh yeah - meant to post already to say it looks very cool. Easier access to the top level information and a sharper look.

Not convinced about the need for all the 'recent' stuff at the bottom as people don't tend to scroll a huge amount. (Could the 'Quick links section in the right-hand side be used to better effect to link through to these areas?)

You also might want to look at where your page fold lies with an 800x600 screen as there is a danger people won't scroll down below the top section. (I am constantly amazed as to how many internet cafes in SEA still function on 800x600 screens).

But then you are reading the comments of a self confessed geeky ex-content editor who is still having withdrawal symptoms from working on website usability for 2 years and is just dying to get her hands on a website again after 2 months of travelling as she is in dire need of intellectual stimulation...

On the whole, a pretty damned good site if you ask me. New front page and all.

Much more user friendly and it looks more "polished". Good job - just wish I had some time to use it!

Ditto to everything above. I like it.

But . . . Those of us who reach Boots through a portal like MSN require more horizontal scrolling. It's just a bit annoying . . .
