We've taken the passing of a New Year to roll out a few changes to our hostel section that we've been testing - the new features include:

* Hostel Rating - You can still write little hostel reviews for the places you've stayed, but you can also rate hostels quickly & easily with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down vote. Super easy to do, and super easy to see how others have voted.

* City Maps - No more guessing what "walking distance" means when you read hostel descriptions. Now you can see on our great new city maps exactly where each hostel is! Check out any city page to see the cool feature - you get to the map by clicking on "Click to Extend Map" on the main city page.

I recommend adding more advance search features to your hostel listings. Things like "private rooms," "en suite," "open 24 hours," etc. Help narrow down the results a little. Also, the ability to search/sort by area in a certain city would be great. Because it is extremely overwhelming looking through hostels as they are now.
