So I've been having some trouble with strangers who have WAAAY too much time on their hands getting onto my blog and posting hateful comments for all to see. I noticed that there was a box on the right side of the screen on the "write" page that says "password protect." Is there a way to require people to enter a password to read my actual blog entries? I'm writing for my friends and family back home, so it wouldn't be any trouble to have the people who need to read my blog log on every time. My other options at this point either seem to be to censor all my writing to include only warm, fuzzy thoughts, so as to not offend ANYBODY (which I disagree with on a number of levels)or to simply end the blog and go back to email, which I would really rather not do. Any suggestions? If I can't do that on BootsnAll, does anyone know a site where I can?

Checking that 'password protect' box will hide your blog entries to anyone that does not have the password. You can set the same password for each entry, but it has to be done on an entry by entry basis. You just have to make sure that the people you actually want reading your blog have the password.
