Hey, Liz:

I forwarded this onto the tech powers that be... I'm hopeless in this department! Let me know if you don't hear something soon.

Ciao,
Jessie

Hi Liz,

We recently moved your old blog off Moveable Type as we're no longer supporting that and set you up with our new blogging software based on wordpress. We emailed all the authors and you should have an email or two in your gmail account as that's the address we had on file for your blog. Let me know if you don't see an email there with a new password for you. Check any spam/bulk mail folders if it's not in your inbox.

The reason for the large white space at the top is because your images are too wide for the page. It only looks this way in IE, Firefox automatically re-sizes the images within the content area. The 'Enjoy this pretty picture...' image in particular is massive and needs to be re-sized.

You can find a bunch of FAQ's and how-to's in the 'Dashboard' page of you blog admin once you've logged in.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Okay, I didn't get the emails...suppose they went into junkmail...but I assume everything I need to know is on Dashboard.

But...I still have a couple questions.
1) Can I get my color-scheme/banner back?
The 'change your blog appearance' section doesn't seem to have many color options...and I had designed a special banner. Any chance of getting that back up there? (please!)

2) How do I go about resizing pictures? I've logged on...gone to edit...and ??? I don't see a way to resize a file because they seemed not to be stored on this system. (I am not using any of my 20MB.)
And is there a way I could resize a group of photos or do I have to do each one seperately from over a year and a half's worth of blog entries?!?!?!
I just want my blog to look like there's something on it, as all my friends think I've erased it. (Silly, since there's a really tiny scroll toggle on the side.)

Sorry...trying not to be a pain in the ass but totally not a techy and somewhat confused by the new system.
Thanks!
*Liz

PS -Can a moderator move this to the right forum please. Thanks!

The main thing is to re-size the photos on the home page of your blog. If you look at the image code in your entries you'll see that the photos have height and width values. What I have done is reduce these values proportionally so that the bigger photos have a maximum width of 500px. Now your blog home page looks fine.

This method will be easier and quicker than re-sizing all your photos in a photo editing program and re-uploading them.

As far as how your blog looks goes, you can choose from a variety of themes under the 'Themes' link in your blog admin.
