Hola everyone-
I´m trying to figure out how to type up some posts in advance but delay their publishing for a few days so they show up while I´m out on my Galapagos boat. I saw in the Moblogging tab that is possible with: delayXdXhXm (replacing the Xs with numbers of course) but somehow that was not enough information for me to figure it out. Can someone give me the step-by-step instructions on how to do this? Eg. do I need to put this code inside some specific HTML code? Once I do this to I merely "Save" my post or do I need to "Publish"? Or maybe I´m missing the intent of the delay mechanism? Please, help a girl out! Thanks a bunch, Stacey |

I have been blogging with boots for two years and am still trying to figure this out... I too, will be awaiting a response.

When you click on the "Write" tab on your BootsnAll blog, one of the expand-able blue bars you'll see on the right says "Post Timestamp." Click on that to expand it, and you should see today's date and the roughly immediate time. If you want to advance-post something, you click on the "Edit Timestamp" box and change the date/time to some date in the future when you want your post to go live. Then when you click "Publish" it's in the queue, ready to go live at the time you've plugged in. You'll need to think in terms of the 24-hour-clock, and it may not be in your time zone - that's about the only thing that might be weird (and I don't know how to figure out/change the time zone it's in). Otherwise, it's a great tool.
Let me know if that doesn't work for you! |

I finally got around to trying this today and it didn't work. Has anyone tried it and got it to work successfully?
I first changed the timestamp and clicked 'Save' but noticed it reverted back to today's date. So, right before I published my post I changed the datestamp without clicking on 'Save' first thinking that might help. Didn't seem to...am I missing something? I'm off on my Galapagos cruise tomorrow for a week so no hurry on the response...I won't be able to try it again for a while. Hopefully there's something really obvious that I'm missing.... Stacey |
