Hey,

Quick question - does anyone know of any sites or flash files or anything that could be used to make a visual travel blog?

I thought it might be a good idea to do one with an Indiana Jones style map with a red line going across it (hah I know) - if it was done in flash some photos and text could pop up too but not reams of it.

This way I thought it would make it a.) more interesting and b.) less of a chore to update.

Google Maps seems the obvious starting point but I can't find anything useful to get me underway. Anyway, if anyone has seen anything like this let me know.

Cheers!
Sam

P.S. I'm decent at programming so anything technical isn't a problem.

Unless you want to hire a Flash animator, your best bet will be to try and work with Google Earth/Maps. If you are looking for a particular style of map, like Indiana Jones, you might be out of luck.

Google Earth gives you much more flexibility and can give you much more exposure than a Flash animation however.

Cheers for the reply.

I think I'll go in the Google Earth direction - it doesn't need to look like Indiana Jones or anything I was just trying to describe the way the line goes across the map hehe.
