I know how to upload the photos but I can't figure out how to set them so they're pop-up images (ya know, you're reading the entry, you see a word or phrase that's in blue print rather than black, you click on it and - voila! - the pop-up image opens in another window). Maybe I'm just a slow learner but it was very simple to do when we had the Moveable Type thing going. Now that it's switched over I'm all confused. If someone can please walk me through how to do this, I'd appreciate it. I'm losing my patience

The easiest way is to upload your photo and add it to your entry with the 'Using thumbnail' and 'linked to page' options set. Then when you send to the editor you'll see a mess of code. This code is both the link and the image. The link begins with <a href and the image begins <img.

Basically you want to replace the image code with the text you want to be linked. So, delete from <img all the way to (but not including) </a>.

Can you show me an entry where you have tried to do it? I might be able to see where things went wrong if I can see what code you have left.

Hmm, strange. I just tried it on my blog (which is the same as yours) and it appeared to work fine. What's happening is that the links works. Everything you did was correct, but your image is not uploaded correctly, or appearing as it should. Can you try adding that image to your test post as a thumbnail ie: not deleting the image code.

Ok, I just tried that and it looks like that's not working, either. What the...?!?

ok, well at least we've narrowed that down. How big are these images that you're uploading? Do you see a smaller version of the image in your entry admin screen when you're clicking on the different image options?

Nope, I do not see the smaller images on the entry admin screen. Not sure exactly how large the images are; I did re-size them, though, to make them smaller before uploading them.

Seems like there's something wrong with the images then. Can you email a couple to me so I can take a look? Perhaps it was the re-sizing that did it. Not sure.
