Since this is the probably the best family traveling forum on the internet, I thought I would ask the families that are currently traveling where they are now. We have lists of the blogs, but I think it would be fun for everyone to post where in the heck they are!

We are currently in Hanoi, Vietnam and will be flying back to Bangkok tomorrow!

Change Australia to Idaho and Bangkok to Alaska - and that's us!!

The packing and repacking stage is the pits - especially with three bikes, two trailers, and enough gear for all four of us to get through all four seasons!!

Join our family we cycle from Alaska to Argentina! www.familyonbikes.org

It sounds like we will be in Bangkok at the same time. We just got back into Thailand and will be heading north for a few weeks. We fly from Bangkok to Macau on June 10th.

I am excited for you guys at the beginning of your trip. Our time is starting to wind down now that we have been on the road for thirteen months. It looks like we will be home in 3-4 months. I know how hectic this time must be.

We are on a beautiful beach in Marbella, Spain and heading to Portugal in a few days. We will visit about 16 more countries in the next 7 months, focusing on northern Europe and Russia this year primarily ( Northern Spain after Portugal, then western France, Ireland, UK, Scandinavia, Russia, Germany, eastern France and Andorra). We will head back to our village in Andalucia, Spain for the winter as well as a trip to Egypt, Jordan and possibly Jerusalem, Israel ( probably in Feb).

We are almost two years into our family trip around the world and we continue to adore this lifestyle and will continue for many years to come. I think we might be setting some kind of record for family around the world travel as we like to take our time and immerse deeply. My child plays the violin and piano, so we roam with instruments and teachers via webcam skype classes over the net.

We have loved immersing deeply with Southern, Spain and so glad that my daughter has been able to go to the local school there for a few months in the last two winters and taken flamenco classes Priceless!

We are already looking forward to our long stays in our next to continents, Africa and then South America!

We will be taking disadvantaged kids with us from a school in NYC ( virtually, of course, like the other homeschoolers and school kids we take along) , so will probably fly in to see them too, in the fall. Should be another exciting year!!

I lived in NYC for many years, but we have been off American soil for so long now, I wonder if we will have culture shock when we do that visit.

We will eventually get to the Far East and Oz and such, but have not even thought that much about that area yet, as it will be a while.

Traveling as a family is the BEST! It is also cheap and easier than most imagine. We live large on only 25K a year total expenses for a family of three! Today it is easier than ever.

Good luck to all and especially those who are just beginning their journey!!

We're in New Zealand. But seeing as that's where we're from, it's not as exotic as it sounds!!!!!! Heading to SE Asia in under four months now.
