We're heading to Paris at the end of April with our two kids. Any suggestions on budget, family-friendly accomodation in this very expensive city? We don't want to blow our meager budget!

Hi. I am so jealous of your trip! I am totally going to link to your great website on my blog.

We had good luck using www.vrbo.com to find our small apartment in Paris. I would personally recommend an apartment, because no matter how small, it's still going to be bigger than a hotel room. You could also read travellers' reviews of rentals on slowtravel.com. Many of them can be set up by email - we did ours by email and fax.

You might also check out my blog posting on fun things to do with kids in Paris. http://happyjetbaby.blogspot.com/search/label/Paris%20with%20Kids.

Thanks for the info on your blog, WCB, I'll definitely use it as we visit Paris this week. Great blog, by the way!

FYI, we're only here for a short time, so ended up finding a good deal at Hotel Balladins on Rosny sous Bois. For 40 Euros/night we got a no frills basic but clean room - exactly what we wanted.

Thanks! I put a few of our favorite restaurants up today. I hope you're having a great time, and if you have the chance to post what you liked, didn't like on my blog in the comments, I would love it. Or write about your experiences, and send me a link! It seems many people come to Jetbaby in order to read about Paris with kids - it's the most popular post so far!

We were in Paris last fall with a 5year old that celebrated her 6th birthday at the Eiffel tower ( actually started the day with the petite tren to Jardin d'Acclimation).

We were there for two weeks and had a great time and saw a lot. Look to the archive in our blog for more info as I left a lot (Paris starts here):

We loved the parks and following and making up our own itineraries based on "Storybook travels" which has great kids itineraries based on great children's lit.

Paris with a child is fabulous..makes even the subway fun.Don't miss Musee de Orgerie, shakespeare and company, angelina's ( hot chocolate like Linnea had ), mona lisa ( late in the day) and Giverny and the endless wonderful, creative parks for kids.Climb to the top of the Arche de triumph,Notre Dame bell tower etc.

There are so many great kids books to prepare for Paris and keep it alive and connected for years.

Enjoy! ( We are not far away...resting near Barcelona at a beautiful beach).
