My kids are realy excited about our upcoming RTW trip. However, I'm a little nervous about how they will deal with things like squat toilets and unrecognizable food.
My 7yo daughter can be very squeamish and has been known to walk out of public restrooms in Canada because they were "dirty" - just wait until we hit SEA and India! My son couldn't care less about hygiene but isn't very adventurous gastronomically. He doesn't even like pineapple on Hawaiian pizza! Is he going to starve to death on this trip? Any tips on how we can smooth the upcoming bumps in the road and ensure I can make sure the food goes in (and comes out) without too much fuss? |

I just happened to see this article and thought it might be of interest.

I'm not a parent, but I would think there are two things that might help - one, if you always had those wet-wipe things with you, you'd be able to clean up public restrooms a little (at least the critical parts that touch skin!); and two, if you're doing your own grocery shopping at least part of the time you'll be able to put together meals that, while they might not be Lunchables, would probably be acceptable to any kid. Good luck to you!
