Another question about my trip on the Rongai route next month.

Thanks for all the answers to my previous question. I will be leaving the filter at home and just use tablets.

My latest concern is the weather. I found this website and am curious about its accuracy. Does anyone know what the weather should be like the first week of October?

I referred to this same site before I went also. Seems pretty good. We were there the second week of September. We had great weather. No rain, very little wind, lots of sun. Even so, after the second night on the mountain, as soon as the sun went down it got really cold. But as soon as the sun came up it was nice and warm. And on the summit night even though I had an insulated camelback with an insulated tube and mouth piece, the water in it still froze...

Yeah, I'll second all that info; we climbed from the 13-17 September and the weather was really good. Warm during the day and cold during the night. My water only froze on the summit climb which we began at around midnight when it was really really cold and I had to wear just about everything I'd brought along for the trek!
