Hi all!

My boyfriend, another friend and I are planning a Kili trek for the end of June/beginning of July 2008 (planning to summit on 4th of July), and would be interested in having a couple others join us to possibly get costs down a tiny bit, and to meet some new people!

About our trip: we are looking at a 7-day Machame trek, and have been looking at Marangu Hotel as our possible guide.

About us: 3 Minnesotans, 1 male, 2 female, early 30s, sporty, 1 w/extensive hiking/camping experience, 1 w/average hiking/camping experience, 1 w/little hiking/camping experience. We are pretty laid back. Smile

We would be interested in teaming up with 2-3 additional people for our climb. PM me and we can chat more. I have a few emails from Marangu Hotel I can pass along as well. They have been very helpful and responsive to our questions.

Thanks!

Sorry, Doug, but unfortunately our dates are pretty set. I'll be traveling for a couple months in Africa before my friends arrive, and doing a couple weeks of an organized tour that ends in Tanzania around June 22. I've already booked my trip, so I totally understand how changing things can be cost-prohibitive! Also, since my friends are only able to come over for a few weeks, they have arranged their trip around our 4th of July holiday to maximize time off work... if for some reason you do decide to change your trip around a bit, let me know!

Hi,
I am going to Kili the same time you are and was planning on doing the same hike you are. I am actually arriving on June 22nd but was thinking of doing Mt. Meru first to get use to the altitude. I was also looking into Marangu Hotel. Are you guys hitting any safaris afterward? Let me know what you think about joining up.
