I got back yesterday, made it to Uhuru peak at 6am (EA time) on Tuesday. Wonderful but I was exhausted. Not a hint of altitude sickness, I had Diamox but my guide kept saying "Diamox is bad, water is good" so I didn't take any and didn't need any. The weather was great, in spite of it being November. Went up Machame route which was nice and quiet. Looking at the size of the camps I see where some of teh toilet troubles come from when the routes are busy, but with us it was fine. They seem to be working on the toilets and quiet a few new toilets are being built. Shira top camp at the hut will even have flushing loo's with water harvested from the rain, and Barafu had all new toilets.

I wonder if I can mention the name of the group who took us here? Well if not please remove it. Kili-treks was great, we made friends with another group using another operater, they were also great but the $600 dollars that they paid extra was not apparent when comparing our groups.

Had a great time and love doing it.

Thanks for the update! It's good to hear more toilets are being put in. What other trekking companies did you observe? I am considering going in Nov as well.
