i've been using one someone got on a plane. i am seriously considering spending a large sum ($15 or so) in this, which i see as an investment in my future sleep and sanity. do you have one you love? do you ahve tips for using your eye mask?

i find it tricks me into thinking its still dark out=sleepy time and i can konk out again. this morning ona flight (2 hours) i put it on and though i did not go into rem i got some serious powernapping done and zoned the hell out for a good long while.

mine looks like this (without the silly magnets):

lets also have a contest for who can find the most stupidest and tricked out mask on the internet

any particular eye mask you recommend?

Got one on the flight to Bangkok, and they let me keep it. However, I find the things too irritating to use. Shame, really, just like those curved blow-op pillows that fit around your neck.

Can't recommend one strongly enough for helping with sleep on a plane. I was just reading in some travel magazine that even if one isn't tired enough to totally "sleep", it's good for your eyes to wear one for a while during a flight, even if you're just zone-ing out for a while.

i love my silk lined eye pillow... i think the brand was theraputic something...they sell lavendar sented products and other "relaxing" items. I have drooled plenty of hours on buses and planes thanks to my eye pillow. Splitform

My favorite brand for eye pillows is Bucky's. They are a bit pricey at $25. However, I have used many cheap and moderately priced eye masks and find that they don't fit and/or don't effectively block out ALL light. Bucky's have a velcro adjustable strap and will block everything out. They also have a nifty pouch for storing ear plugs. They are bigger than your average eye pillow, but for me, it's absolutely worth it.
