As I'm in the midst of getting my vaccinations for the Big Trip (TM), I thought I'd pass on a bit of medical news.

For those of you getting vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B, you can now get both in one shot called Twinrix. It's a three shot regime and not particularly cheap, but cheaper than getting them separate, I believe. I'm paying $80 for each, but you might find it cheaper if you shop around.

I happened to speaking to my landlord the other day and found he's a traveller as well. I mentioned I was going in for a shot today and he told me that he didn't used to be big into vaccinations...that is until he got Hepatitis A in China.

Not to rub it in or anything, but for those in the UK it is free from your GP.

In Sweden they cost about $65 each, but I only took two shots since there have to be a few months between 2nd and 3rd (I've already left by then...). I'm getting the 3rd within a year though.
