Hi

Have you guys seen this video ? It is a video from Fox and something called I-Team. It shows how glasses are cleaned (or rather not cleaned) at some hotels. I have never really thought about this before but I think that I will probably take an extra look at the glasses before I use them the next time I stay at a hotel. This was actually pretty gross

FOX news? What, are they fresh out of Britney Spears and had to scare the public in a new way?

O.K. So it's totally unacceptable. But at the same time I'm not surprised and somehow I'm not that grossed out...
Perhaps it's because I have had to drink from dirty cups that had only been rinsed out before. For instance I remember drinking a cup of yak butter tea in a temple in Ladakh. After having been used by someone else (and many before that), it was dunk in a bucket of "local" water and then filled up for me to drink. It was offered to me by a monk, how could I refuse?...
Or I remember the time when I shared my bottle of water with an Egyptian taxi driver. The guy had graciously offered to push my wheelchair for a couple of hours at the Valley of the Kings. It was extremely hot and we were sweating profusely. Even if I didn't know him, how could I not share my water with him?...

Perhaps now you'll think that I'm gross but I'm sure that many BNA members had experiences like that, and drank from dirty cups and glasses, knowingly or not...

But again, I agrre that it is unacceptable in a country like the USA, or Canada for that matter...
