Hi, I've been reading a lot about all the funky diseases that you can get while travelling in Asia. Most of the vaccines are reasonably priced here in the states... except for Japanese encephalitis (as has been discussed several times). I read on a website that in China there is a much cheaper, supposedly more effective and safer (as in less side effects) vaccine that has been in use for 12 years or so. Also, it only takes one shot. This vaccine has not been approved for international use yet.

My question is, has anybody gotten the vaccine while overseas? Is this possible if you are not a Chinese citizen? Did you get it at a hospital or a travel clinic/airport?

Thanks a lot!
