I live in the US, have no insurance, and am in the midst of planning either an Asia trip or maybe Central America.
It looks like I need Hep A and B, tetanus booster, and typhoid shots. I don't even have a regular doctor. Should I just go through the phone book and call down the lists? Or are there certain types of doctors/clinics that would do this and have the best prices. And speaking of prices, what am I looking at? I have looked around and I'm thinking it's gonna be at least $300. |

You might be in luck. Looks like Wake County Human Services Department offers travel vaccinations. Likely a lot cheaper than going to a doctor.

EMH!!!!! Thanks so much for that link. Through the Wake govt. I can get Hep A and B for $70, typhoid for $85, and the tetanus is free.
That's half of what I was thinking I'd pay!! |

Dang!
I just set up my appointment. I didn't realize till now that for Hep you have to get 3 shots, I was thinking it was a one time $70 fee (not $210 altogether) huh? |
