So we all have had to deal with having our periods on the road. What is your worst period story?

one time i had this nasty applied differential equation problem (resonance of a damped, forced oscillating system), and be damned if i didn't put a 0.02 instead of 0.2 for the dashpot constant.

messed up the answer completely.

This thread should ATLEAST be in the Travel Health forum if it is going to be anywhere.

And that is where it is going.

And folks, a not-so-gentle reminder from your moderator:

When someone brings up a genuine, serious and very personal topic, it does not play well to disrupt the topic like a bunch of pre-pubescent schoolboys.

I will delete disruptive posts without warning.

Sorry if I was offensive, but this said "sharing stories," not what would you do/how would you handle x incident.

Cool. Point taken. Cool

In my defence, the first post said:

I didn't think it was meant to be a 'serious' topic. I thought we were in for some gross-out stories anyway, so my post was (imo) in line with that.

Well, this thread's lost all fun for me, but I am glad I found it again. When it was moved from Member's Forum, I really thought I was beginning to lose it.....first I thought I imagined my post, then I thought I imagined the thread.

Sorry I should have written the question differently. I had the idea for this from the thread called: Sorry guys....but CAN I get Tampax in Asia? India? Africa

It was odd, informative, and hilarious.

I thought that this would give us girls a chance to laugh at what seemed like an irritating and disgusting moment in travel.

Sorry for any inconvenience upset or confusion. I understand this can be a touchie subject. But can be something to look back at and laugh.

Somewhat unrelated, but when I was traveling (gone for almost four months) I had one period and that was it. My traveling ceased my period. Hurrah! I was so happy.

same thing happened with me. I should have gotten it in the middle of my trip and I had one day of it, then it was gone!

Well girls I wish the same would've happened to me. I got it when I wasn't supposed to and it effectively ruined and put an early end to my trip up Kilimanjaro.

End of story.
