Hey all

I leave for 8 months of travel on the 31st December '04 (which is like 5-6weeks away)
Anywho, i'm visiting these places:
India, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, OZ, NZ, Fiji, USA
And my travel company kindly sent me a list of all the vaccinations and protection i would need (there's about 9 in all)

However I recently moved to England and the doctors here are utterly USELESS (sorry!!)
but they are so unhelpful and just plain RUDE.
So basically they messed me around for about 2 weeks and i still dont have my vaccinations..
i now need to make ANOTHER appointment, which i cant for another 2 hours because the phone lines close till 2pm!!

Basically what i want to know is am i cutting it too short?
How long before you leave should you be getting your vaccinations...?
I know that with the malaira protection you usually have to be taking it a month before you go...
I'm poo-ing myself, thinking i've left it too late.
Well i didnt it was the bloody incompitance of the doctors here!!
grrrrrrrr Ninja

You should be fine... malaria protection is just pills, right?

I'm freaking out because apparently in "Seoul County" in South Korea you need to take malaria pills, but in big urban areas you don't have to. I'll be in a wooded campus area, apparently, sort of on the outskirts of Seoul... I wish the local health unit knew what they were talking about.

Anyway, I think you're fine for your dates, mr. bigles - have fun getting shot!

Meagicano,
I live in the Seoul area and I have never heard of anyone taking malaria pills while here. I would not worry about it too much. Are you in Korea now? If not, you should wait until you arrive to make that decision. Medical is very inexpensive here. I have met people from all over Korea and I have never heard of anyone taking malaria tabs to live here. Up to you though. Hope it works out!
