Me and friend are planning to go to Germany in Feb. Since i just finished college, I dont have a real job yet. I work , but its a temp kinda thing. They dont have health insurance for me. Anyway..i wanna take a europe trip before starting my real job. And i am not US citizen either. i have passport from India. When i went to apply for German Visa..They say i need to send these things in mail..

1) copy of my air tickets to germany
2) Indian passport
3) show that i have a Valid Health Insurance
4) bank Statment

Ok so i have a question now...They want me to buy Air Tickets ahead? What if they dont give me Visa to germany? My air tickets will be wasted. Second...I dont have Health Insurance yet. Is there any way i can buy the cheapest possible health insurance really fast just to get the Visa??

i entered my info and they said i will have to pay $70 for two weeks. Sounds great to me. has anybody tried them before? Will their insurance be good enough to show to german visa people here in USA?

BTW...world nomads website says they have jobs where you can travel. WOW sounds cool. what kinda jobs do they have? does anybody here knowns anything about it?

Hi Ranni, I'm not going to be much help here, but regarding the airplane tickets, this is one way:

You can buy fully refundable tickets, get a receipt, and use this for your visa. As soon as you have your visa, cancel the tickets, get a full refund then when you're ready, buy your discount tickets. Believe me, people do this all the time. The only caveat is that it will tie up some money on your(or somebody's) CC card temporarily.
