This message is for those visiting India during the monsoon season (June-early September)

Bisleri was the most popular brand of mineral (bottled) water in India. recently however, the Ministry of Health has ordered that its factory in Delhi be shut down, till further orders.

Several newspapers have carred reports in this regard. A search on www.indiatimes.com or the web-site of any other leading newspaper will provide further details.

Also, it is best to buy bottled water from chemist shops and large departmental stores, the chances of the item being spurious may be less.

Please check at restaurants etc, that they are serving either mineral or boiled water or are at least using popular filters such as acqua-guard.

Changes of falling sick due to contaminated water are high during the monsoon (rainy) season.
