When Tanya Andrews returned from a recent family holiday in Costa Rica, she had no idea she had brought back a gruesome souvenir.

I worked in a pathology lab for a bit. You want to see (smell) the gross things you can get infected with, that would be the place. Mind you, I didn't have to be around for autopsies (whew), but I wash my hands more now than ever before.

Just imagine passing a 3 meter long tapeworm? Might be oddly satisfying but also DISGUSTING! Gross stories. Also, it is comforting to know that I too can have my very own nose leech when I go to Nepal. Can't wait.

Just imagine, in Oz they have ground leeches that the warning signs say will get at you over your shoes and socks.....
