Holds PhD in Packing |
I'm looking into various travel medical plans, in preparation for a year-long trip. I'm a little confused about the emergency evacuation benefit.
If I have to be evacuated to the US, does the medical plan cover my medical expenses for that injury/illness while I'm being treated in the US? Or would I just be flown home and dumped in front of the emergency room at the county hospital? Anyone with any knowledge or experience of this? |

Best bet is to inquire specifically with the company that you are checking out..probably varies by policy...

Maybe(depending on the country)get a Kidnapping coverage rider with your insurance, and make it an umbrella policy.
