I have a drs appointment tomorrow and I’ve made a list of questions to ask. Am I missing anything?
Turkey looks like the first place I may need Malaria pills. What is the difference between the different pill options? Also, I won't be in Turkey for at least 7 months, should I buy now or on the road. What is the difference between Doxy and chloroquine?

Food poisoning, what are the best ways to deal with this - maybe some ways to prevent it?

Ways to prevent getting sick in the heat in addition to drinking lots of water.

Motion sickness prevention.

Ways to prevent travelers diarrhea, best meds to help with it.

Allergies on the road.

Overall health on the road

Dealing with strange insect bites.

I'd also consider asking about a Z-pack, women's issues re: thrush or other infections (if you haven't asked already), diamox prescription if you'll be summiting in higher altitudes.

ALSO, I highly highly recommend reading the book called How to Shit Around the World. It was a great read, very practical (each chapter has a different "tips" section at the end) and has a whole section on women's issues and on traveler's diarrhea, gives pointers on what foods to eat and avoid and how to "conquer" the long drop toilet. All in all a practical read, but not for the squeamish! Then again, if you're heading RTW, am sure you're not entirely squeamish yourself! Book is here atAmazon

My 2 cents. Best of luck!

i would also ask for some antibiotics just for general illness such as a sinus infection. I get them too often and they never go away w/out meds. I think it's always good to have a little something for that when out on the road for a long time, that way you can try and avoid finding a dr. there.
