I've always been pretty healthy, but the last few years I've had a few problems pop up. Nothing major though(thank god!)
But the past 4 or 5 months I've started to get pains in the side and I expect it's kidney stones. My family is full of them and they can be generational. I'm trying to get into see my doctor before I go, but there isn't a damn thing they can do for this anyway. I just have to face that I might end up spending a day or so of my trip in agony or the hospital. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Not necessarily the same thing, but just setting off with something that could flare up. |

Not the First Dork |
I've been through several episodes of stones...uh, NOT pleasant. Agonizing, in fact. Next time you get the side pain you might want to go to the doc. I don't know if they'd be forced to run tests, but even if that's the case, because I was in so much pain the last time it happened, the doc gave me a prescription for vicodin, before I even had the abdominal ultrasound. I still have two bottles of the stuff (got another bottle when I had surgery to blast the stone)...on hand for emergencies if the stones come back to haunt me.
