I absolutely echo the sentiments of this article. When I got to Phnom Penh, I was horrified but I ended up having to be pulled away. The people are great. I had to look past a few flies on the market food but rest assured the food was tasty and safe. I had to do a little subconscious translation on the words 'madam, tuk tuk?' to simply mean 'hello' to which I replied 'no thank you' (translated in my head as 'hello back'). After that it was amazing and I would gladly go back and probably will, in two weeks.
