I enjoyed this story about Paraguay. I was drawn to Paraguay for the same reasons as the author but when it came down to it, the prospect of getting a tourist visa and paying $$ in order to spend a night or two in Paraguay made me decide against it. I find it really interesting and random that the Paraguayan flag has two different sides. I wonder what the dark side of the Paraguayan flag looks like. Also interesting was the mention of all the Mercedes-Benz cars in Ascuncion. I spent about 45 minutes waiting for a bus near Igauzu Falls in Brazil and noticed many shady looking Mercedes-Benz cars with tinted windows and Paraguayan plates headed to Argentina. I wonder what they were up to?
