What a beautifully written piece and,I imagine, a memorable experience. It left me feeling, however, where you stand on religion. Do you go to church or have a faith in a particular religion or do you subscribe to beliefs about spirituality? Just curious.

I am now in my 50s and when I was in my early to mid twenties I explored religion, to an extent. I was lucky because I was involved with a kind of, counter-cultural, para-church christian group that was terrific. It was here that I met most of my life long friends though today I call myself agnostic. I even became quite involved with a Guru Marahaji (early 70s) again a learning experience but I didn't hang around too long. In the end I discovered Philosophy, which I still am gripped by, and am now studying for a PhD which involves feminism and philosophy amongst other things. Worth a look,I reckon,if you are gripped by these kinds of eternal questions.

How did you find MT house for the destitute?. I'm going back to India for 6 months and would really like to participate in one of her houses. Did you make a reservation, were recomended or simply pop in and say "can I help?" Any advice you can give will be appreciated. Thanks
