I agree with you.. We cycled a tandem around Thailand for 8 months and there are very clearly, two faces of Thailand. Whilst I enjoyed the tourist hotspots, cycling through the country forces you to stop at places that look like they have little to offer on the map and are not worthy of a mention in the LPG! It is these villages and towns that I have the fondest memories of. I have only felt threatened once in Thailand and that was in Khao San Road! |
