I'm afraid you forgot some very relevant advice to give travelers regarding Costa Rica. In a nutshell: YOU WILL PROBABLY GET ROBBED! I was robbed of everything and had to go home. Four out of every 5 people I met had been robbed. Theft has replaced tourism as the #1 source of income for Costa Rica. Tourism is down more than 10% due to robberies. There were 27 Americans at the US Embassy the Monday morning i went to get my passport replaced--we'd all been robbed over the weekend. Check out the US state Dept. website warnings and the Lomely Planet warnings as well. One senior American just murdered a robber on a tour bus--he broke his neck! Not a friendly country. Philybern |
