I have a custom avatar, but I want to replace it with a new custom avatar. Problem is, when I go through the procedure, the application always refers back to my old avatar - even if I first delete the old avatar in bootsnall and exit bootsnall site. It seems the server will allow me to delete my current avatar and have no avatar at all or use the old avatar.

The instructions state:

4) Scoll down to "Avatar" and click "edit"

5) Click "custom avatar" at the top, then "browse" -- go find the image you saved and select it, then click "Avatar Me"

Herein lies the problem... When I browse for the new avatar on my system, find the avatar, double-click on it to load it into the browse field, and then click "Avatar Me", the old avatar pops up again. I've gone as far as deleting the old avatar from my system.

Temporary glitch? I am an advanced computer user to the n'th degree so I know this isn't me.

Okay...

Decided to try one more thing and it worked so I'm replying to my own damn question.

In the Avatar Selection pop-up window

After I browse for, find, and select the new avatar from my desktop - I right click in the Avatar Selection pop-up window and select "Refresh" from the pop-up menu. This forces the new avatar into the old avatar's place and we're good to go.

i've tried it myself , I do have the same problem , but it still doesn't work

After loading your new avatar, it typically won't show up right away. So after you load your new avatar, close the popup box where you loaded your avatar, then 'refresh' your browser window on your profile. you should then see your new avatar pop into your profile.

there is no need to delete the old avatar first, simply load the new one, close the popup, then refresh your browser - you should then see it.
