I wrote to a couple of insiders a couple of times and no response.... Are they up to date or have these folks travelled on to newer grounds?

It depends. Sometimes, you get a response from everyone you have written to and sometimes there is complete silence.Perhaps email addresses could have changed or people could be travelling or just busy with work.

In fact, I was discussing this issue with some other BNA members also. The best thing is to post for HELP out here on the boards. Responses generally just pour in and then you can perhaps follow up with those members who have posted replies.

Sorry bout that...if you receive email daemons on an address - let us know and we wil remove them.

We have had Insiders for 4 years now and sometimes people's addresses change etc.

go ahead and email (sean at bootsnall dot com ) me the folks that bounced...we also do a cleanout once per year ourselves.

Having said all this...I still get emails from insiders and travelers that say they get great info and contacts...

Hey Chris, since you mentioned that, would you add me as an insider for Greece? I had checked the 'insider' thingy when I registered, but I never appeared on the list.

Oh, and while I'm at it, here's another idea: Why don't we have thematic insiders? Say, for example, for activities such as photography or diving. I'm sure there's plenty of people wround here with special knowledge and advice to share. Or it could be something like a site section or blog. I'd be glad to contribute into a photography advice section.

Also - I filled out the RTW questionaire - extensively - but I never appeared in the RTW list, FYI.

What's a travel photoblog? Sounds cool! Just want to let people know that I emailed an insider and she responded the next day. She was very helpful and I plan on talking to her when I arrive in that country! Thanks for the service you guys provide!

A Travel Photo Blog is simply a website - that has info on Travel photography. Sounds more complicated than it really is.
